Dina is originally from Forest Hills in Queens. New York. But she changed her location into Dix Hills on Long Island right before the end of her junior year. Her two brothers are Gregory, her elder brother and Evan. Her first experience in the world of entertainment came in the form of modeling from ages nine to 16. The beginning of her acting career was with The Neighborhood Playhouse, New York. She was a student of Sanford Meisner's methods alongside Ron Stetson for three years. The other actors who received such training are Sandra Bullock, Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum, Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton, as well as other actors. After moving into Los Angeles, she got her first role in Beverly Hills,90210. The first film she appeared in was Johnny Mnemonic. She did all the stunts of the film and established her as an athlete as well as an actress. She was also represented by Matt LeBlanc, so through her talent agent she managed to get a regular part on Friends.
